Project Description
In late 1988, FORTA-FI was specified and utilized to minimize deformation of the surface-course of a heavily trafficked tollbooth area for the Massachusetts Turnpike Commission. The fiber reinforcement was used in over 500 tons of Massachusetts Type F High Stability Bituminous Asphalt Concrete at a dosage of 1.0 lb/ton. The project was located at Tollbooth #11A, between mile 0 and mile 4 in West Stockbridge, MA.
