Project Description
The City of Centerville, OH chose FORTA-FI to extend the life of their pavement and gain a better return on their investment when paving multiple subdivision streets. On Penridge Dr., 18,000 lb of FORTA-FI was used in a 1 ½” thick overlay. A FORTA representative contacted the city engineer to explain the difference between a previously used competitor’s fiber and FORTA-FI. The local producer confirmed the representative’s statements made to the city and engineer, which led them to switch to FORTA-FI. The project was done using the FORTA® Voyager automated fiber feeder and was executed flawlessly. The ease of adding fiber created six additional projects with the producer.
