Description
The original project was a simple resurfacing of a badly cracked and rutted parking lot. As the contractor began repairing the most severe areas, it became obvious that the sub base was very poor and would require total replacement, which wasn’t budgeted. FORTA-FI® was added to the specification for both the base and wearing courses to eliminate the need to rebuild the worst areas. The photo in the top left shows an area so soft, that two orange cones were used to keep trucks away.
Update
After 3-years, that area, the area in front of the dumpster, the entrance and entire parking lot are 100% rut and crack free.
