Project Description
FORTA-FI® was used in a pilot project for a road in Giethoorn, Netherlands. The 1,330 meter roadway experiences traffic from heavy agricultural truck traffic including tractors. The heavily cracked sections of the road were milled, filled, and then the entire road was paved with FORTA-FI® reinforced asphalt. The use of synthetic fiber reinforcement helped to reduce project costs and reduce life cycle costs.
