Grove City, PA - June 1982

Project Description:

One of the earliest U. S. applications for the FORTA AR® asphalt reinforcement was a two-lane roadway for a residential and light-commercial park in June of 1982. Originally part of the Grove City Industrial Park on Route 173, just south of Grove City, this project is home to several small businesses and both multi-family and single-family residences. FORTA AR was added at the rate of 1.0 lb./ton to over 330 tons of hot-mix asphalt. The FORTA Ultra-Net® concrete fibers were also used in the project for a concrete entryway slab and extruded curbing.
